Save Time, Money, and Your Machine with THIS Tip! Your sewing machine, all of the sudden starts acting up and you start wondering.. what's going on? You have been sewing your project just fine, but then, all of the sudden, your machine starts giving you tension issues, the thread snaps or even the worst happens, a broken needle! NOOO!!! I can tell you, a lot of times these problems can often be traced back to one thing: not changing your needle at the right time! Today, I’m going to share one simple rule that can save your sewing machine from unnecessary wear and tear, and keep your projects running smoothly. Did you know that sewing with a worn-out needle can damage your machine? When the needle becomes dull, it doesn’t pierce the fabric cleanly anymore, which is what leads to all these problems. A needle that’s been overused can also bend or break, which eventually, if this is a constant problem, it can cause damage to your machine. These issues can be avoided so easily if we only knew exactly when to change that needle.  The Simple Rule for Needle Changing There is a known "fact" I guess you can call it, saying we should change the needle every 6 to 8 hours of stitching time. We'll I don't know about you, but to me it's kind of impossible and ridiculous to keep track of every second or minute I'm actually using the sewing machine for a project.  So, how often should you change your sewing machine needle? Here’s my golden rule: Change your needle every 3rd bobbin. Yes, that's is pretty much it!  I share more information in my video above if you want to watch it, but bottom line, that's is what you really need to keep track of. Change the needle every 3rd full bobbin that you've used up and you will save unnecessary headaches and possible expenses. Happy Sewing! 😊✨ Allie
